Recently, three African kids took the audience of Zhejiang TV's "China Dream Show" in awe as they spoke fluently Pujiang dialect, while maintaing positive attitude and yes, they love spicy and hot Sichuan food!
Without seeing them, you will think they are three "Sichuan kids", they speaking genuine "Pujiang Dialect". But when you open your eyes, you will find that they are "two African brothers and a sister", these three are from Nigeria and they have been living in China, Pujiang for a couple of years now, they have Chinese names, the oldest one is "Zhang De", the twin brother is "Zhang Wen" and the twin sister is "Zhang ming"
On the stage of "Chinese Dream Show", they said that, they want to spend 180 days to study Chinese culture from knowing a little to be able to master a Chinese art or skill
The three of them, each one chose their master to teach them a new art/skill, the big brother likes Chinese Kongfu,and so he chose "Yong Chun Quan", as for the twins, the brother chose Sichuan tea, the 1 miter long copper tea pot which requires amazingly artistic moves to pour and serve.... The twin sister chose Chinese Zither.
Still we have to ask~
Why did you choose to live in Pujiang?
To answer this question we need to go back in time, the year 2004, Michael, a Nigerian, came to Chengdu, after he spent a few days here, he decided to settle here, "I really love Chengdu, the hot pot is delicious, and so is tea."
Zhang long and his wife says, family loves Chinese culture, and they love Pujiang, on their freetime they like to take a walk, sometimes they participate in Canoe and Kayak competitions, it's easier to see that they are one happy family~
